A happy little family
It was a little cold but we had to get a picture.
He also grabbed one of his toys for the 1st time at 7 weeks.

Loves spending time with Grandma cause she spoils him like crazy.

Such a big boy
How do you say no to those eyes?

The hat is a little big but we'll wear it for the pictures.

Happy 1 month birthday Logan

I am amazed at how quickly this month has gone by. I'm sad that it's over but so excited at what's to come. Logan had his 1st portraits done today, he wasn't very excited about it but we did manage to get one precious picture. He is really starting to hold his head up good and is giving us more and more facial expressions. Although he's getting stronger he still was able to fit in his premiee outfit that we brought him home in from the hospital. So, that shows he's still our little guy. This has been a great month and we love him more each day.

He's growing fast...

He looks more like his daddy everyday. Today we had our 3 week check up and he is 7 lb 2 oz. He is getting so very big. The nurse at the doctors office noticed his big hands and long feet and was asking about his daddy and if he was a big guy.

3 weeks old

Logan is 3 weeks old. It has gone by so fast and he is changing every single day. Last night he weighed in at 6 ld 6 oz. This week he has learned how to scream. He has his parents lungs. Our favorite time of the day is when he gets his warm bath, then rocked and sung to. And then he gets his nice warm pj's on, fed and put down for the night. It's a special time for mommy.

June 11, 2006

Welcome to the world baby Logan. "A little change of plans" said Logan Saturday night. My mom, Emily and I went shopping Sat. morning and shopped til we dropped (at least me). As we were eating our McDonalds (not the best thing to eat while in labor) at 5:30 I started having some major contractions and they were only 5 minutes apart. Then they went to 3 mintues and I knew I was in labor. So, Patrick and I went to the hospital. We got there I was only dilated at a 2. So, we went walking for an hour. Not fun at all, my contractions we right on top of each other and my dinner was a lovely sight on the hospital floor. But when we got back to my room I was at a 4 and the doctor broke my water. Then I got my wonderful epidural. By the time he was done putting the epidural in I was at a 10 and ready to push. After about an hour and 45 minutes of pushing at 1:39 am Logan Patrick Elwell was in our arms weighing only 6 pounds and 20 inches long. All together I was in labor only 8 hours. All the reason to love my baby boy even more, he was very easy on me. Thank you for all your prayers and support.

He's on his way

Logan will be here hopefully sometime on Monday, June 12th. At the doctors this week my blood pressure was up again and I was dilated some so the doctor said he can induce on Monday. It's a special day for my family. It was my Papa's birthday, and we found out I was pregnant the day he died. This baby is a wonderful gift from God to help with the loss of a special man. So, please keep Patrick and I in your prayers on Monday. We are so excited. =)

Snow, snow and more snow

We woke up this week with about 3 fresh feet of snow in our drive way, and it still keeps coming. Patrick worked so long and hard to dig us out. I finely made it to work at 2:15 when I was suppose to be there at 9:30...oops. But what can you do. Patrick was only about 45 minutes late. We're still shaking our heads when we look out side our front window.
(Yeah can't figure out why it won't face the right way)

The poor little focus got stuck, which isn't anything new....But the 4 wheel drive truck was even worst and as the snow kept falling and the wind kept blowing Patrick stuck it out.
After about 4 hours of digging it didn't look like he dented the massive amount of snow.
Thanks for the help Ricky in pulling out Patricks truck with your truck. I didn't think we would ever get out of the drive way.
